What's it?
The Barcelona Design Festival, organized by BCD and FAD, aims to situate Barcelona as a world capital of design and innovation internationally. From 2th June to 10th July, this third edition aims to bring out the potential of companies, entrepreneurs and professionals and help them compete globally. With two main centres of activity -the Barcelona Design Week (2th June to 14th Juny) and the FADfest (25th June to 10th July) and the - this great event has an extensive program of activities that will bring design and society closer together and will promote design amongst citizens, professionals, entrepreneurs and the wider public, taking into consideration the economic and cultural dimensions of design.

Stephen Bates is a partner in Sergison Bates Architects, one of the most renowned architecture practices in the United Kingdom, with works that have merited, among others, two RIBA Awards in 2009 or the participation in the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2008 and 2012.

The CraftRoom is the crafts hall of Catalonia. It hosts a display and sale of Catalan crafts from different sectors and trades: fashion, jewellery, household items, gifts, decoration items, among others, with workshops and craft companies from Spain, Europe and a guest country.

Quitllet is one of the most internationally renowned Catalan designers. He has spent most of his career in Paris, signing projects with Philippe Starck. Established in Barcelona since 2011, Quitllet reveals in his designs the outlines concealed in the material, the skeletons of ultra-plastic objects where elegance plays with full and empty spaces, often humorously.
